 Hellsing OVA VI
Well, it looks like Hellsing OVA 7 is out now, and can be seen in various places, (that's with manga subs), though the link will probably go dead some time.
Yep, we're at the Soldier of Fortune chapters and Ogre Battle. Obviously these are the most gruesome scenes. Everything that is supposed to happen does so. Some people meet their demise honorably, and some people, well... lose face.
The animation if essentially the same as what we've come to expect since the last couple of OVA's. Zorin's magic is done reasonably well. Shrodinger, who appears briefly, seems to be animated the most smoothly, but that's probably just due to simplicity. Seras' shadow arm is nice and lively, essentially using the same kind of animation as Alucard's shadow stuff from before, except here is looks better because it's concise: rather than an amorphous blob that takes up everything, it's a very compact blob, and one which... dunno, just works better.
Kind of funny that the guy who was most afraid ends up being one of the few survivors.
The credits are all right, I guess. Nothing special, though. Another, slower Suilen song and photographs from Pip's life. It looks like chibi scenes actually do happen and can be caught on camera, together with sound effects. Fun stuff.

Another mech concept:  As a general update, I am planning a comic, cooperating with my old co-admin, and it will hopefully involve a new website (with things actually stored there, which will definitely be an advantage over the pathetic system I have now), and will possibly include a robot or two. But that's a long way off, so, for now, all will continue (slowly) as normal. Hellsing news? Well, I guess there's an OVA 7 trailer out there now. It looks delicious, but then again, that's to be expected by now.

 Hellsing OVA VI
The 6th Hellsing OVA has come out. It's actually very satisfying. Some of the chibi scenes, are, as always, fairly annoying, but everything else couldn't be better. The Wild Geese defending the mansion use a grenade launcher (sure they had one in the book, but it's much more impressive here) and overall the animation is certainly improving since the earlier OVA's. There's a bit of recycling, but it's not too bad. Zooling's magic, Seras shooting things, the Catholic army and their helicopters... everything's looking good.
If there's one thing that's this episode's crowning moment, though, I'd say it's the credits. I had been kinda sad that the target practice scene had been omitted before, but now it's present in the perfect format, and in a way that it doesn't break up the flow of the actual show.

I've started reorganizing some things. The Gallery is where new content will be added, though currently it's rather small.
Forum and Links pages are down. This is a hosting issue, and hopefully will get resolved in due time. Not that big a deal, though, since the forum doesn't matter.
